LEAVE A NOTE

Sunday, Jul. 24, 2005 - 10:48 p.m.

The simpsons started tonight with a disclaimer. Something like "tonights episode contains references to homesexual marriage. Parental supervision recommended." That makes me sick. Since when is that something worthy of parental supervision. We have shows that show sex and violence and there are no disclaimers, but oh no, gay marriage. On a cartoon! What is happening to this country?

There was a trailer for a movie and in it a character said "People should never be afraid of their government, it is the government that should be afraid of its people."

So true. Ideally.

That statement is the basis of democracy. People have the power to change the government at will. Except, it doesn't feel that way right now. And it feels like that ability is slipping away quicker and quicker every day.

Once again, what is happening to this country?

Ok, in my life:

One of the tumors in my grandfather's lung was non-malignant. We are waiting for the results on the other one (which should come in this week sometime).

Last Tuesday marked a year of me and Jairo dating. Of course, it took some effort to actually figure the date out, but that sounds about right.

The passage of time still amazes me in respect to him (as well as other people and things sometimes). I have always felt a sort of long/short time frame with him. Like we've been together forever and like it was yesterday we starting hanging out. Anyway, it's a good thing.

Other than those two things, there is nothing important to tell.
